2023 Board of Directors Election

Aloha HFIA members!

It is time to nominate candidates for the 2023-2025 Board of Directors.  We are seeking candidates for Island Director and At-large positions.

Below is a list of all current HFIA members. All members in good standing are eligible to run for the Board and guide HFIA for a three-year term.  Nominees should be selected from this list.  Between now and the actual election, we hope we will gain new members and add some renewed members.  These additional members, plus everyone who keeps their dues current, will be eligible to vote.

Here’s how you can nominate your favorite candidate(s):

1. Review the list of eligible members.
2. Email your nominations to HFIA at hfia@hawaiiforest.org, to be received by March 10, 2023 (Nominate as many people as you wish.  You may nominate yourself).
3. If you prefer, mail your nominations to HFIA at P. O. Box 66, O’okala, HI 96774, to be received by March 10, 2023.

Nominees will be presented to the Board of Directors, who will contact the nominees to explain the duties and responsibilities of serving on the Board of Directors, answer questions, and confirm that the nominee is willing to run.  Those who agree to run for election (or re-election) will be listed as candidates on the ballot for the 2023 elections, which will take place at the 2023 Annual General Meeting on March 24, 2023.  A brief bio will be requested of each candidate.
