Superior Tree Identification and Seed Collection

Nicklos Dudley instructed a two-day class on four islands. Among the subjects in the class outline are: identifying high quality trees; finding and collecting good seed; harvesting from superior tree sources; tree genetics; and seed handling, storing, tracking, and identification.
 
The second day was spent in the field. While Acacia koa was the focus of this class, the principles of selection and seed collection are common to most forest trees.
